Child Find:

Child find is a component of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA '04) that requires PEAs to locate, identify, and evaluate all children with disabilities, aged birth through 21, located within their geographical boundaries who are in need of early intervention or special education services.

Stakeholders Advisory Committee:

Mission Statement

The mission of Valley Union High School Stakeholder Advisory Committee is to provide guidance, direction, and support to the school community for the purpose of school improvement.

 

Scope of Work

 

  • Participate in the continual daily practice to improve Valley Union High School’s climate.
  • Before making decisions on school matters, know the practice that is being used first. Once members of the committee are informed, members will focus on area(s) of improvement(s) using best practices from other schools, Arizona statutes, school policies, and/or research based practices.
  • Listen and communicate with various stakeholders through informal and formal methods.
  • Propose recommendations for school improvement to the school’s administration.
